Please select the type of feet your booth has

Our phone booths SOLO have changed slightly over the years. That’s why the solutions for this issue vary depending on the generation.
Please choose the feet of your booth, then we’ll show you how to solve the issue.

Help for phone booth SOLO - Option 1

The cause of a scraping door is usually the floor plate.

As the floor plate is under load during every use and wood naturally shifts over time, it is possible that the floor plate changes slightly after prolonged and intensive use, causing the door to start scraping.

Readjusting the feet usually solves the problem quickly.

To readjust the feet — and fix the scraping door — please follow these steps:

    1. Remove weight from the front feet
Tilt the phone booth backwards from the door side and place something underneath it so the feet on the door side are lifted off the floor. So-called lifting cushions can be a very helpful tool for this — here is an example.
    2. Adjust the feet
Often it is enough to slightly extend the left foot by turning it clockwise. In some cases, the right foot also needs to be turned inward by rotating it counterclockwise. This video shows exactly how this works.
    3. Test
Place the phone booth back on the floor and check whether the problem has been resolved. If the door is still scraping, the rear feet of the floor plate may also need adjustment.

If the problem is not resolved this way, the door can also be realigned using the internal fittings.

Help for phone booth SOLO - Option 2

The cause of a scraping door is usually an uneven floor plate.

    1. Prepare the tool
You will need a 17 mm wrench.
    2. Adjust the feet
Using the correct wrench, you can simply extend the front left foot by turning it clockwise.
    3. Test
Check whether the problem has been resolved. If the door is still scraping, turn the front right foot slightly inward by rotating it counterclockwise. You may also need to readjust the rear feet of the phone booth.

If the problem could not be resolved by readjusting the floor plate, the door can also be realigned using the internal fittings.

Help for phone booth SOLO - Option 3

The cause of a scraping door is usually an uneven floor plate.

As the floor plate is under load during every use, it may shift slightly over time, causing the door to begin scraping.

Readjusting the feet usually solves the problem quickly.

To readjust the feet — and fix the scraping door — please follow these steps:

    1. Prepare the tool
You will need a 4 mm Allen key and possibly a flat tool such as a knife.
    2. Remove the cover caps
When standing inside the phone booth, you will see several grey cover caps. Remove these (possibly using a knife or another flat tool) to access the booth feet through the floor plate.
    3. Adjust the feet
Through the holes in the floor plate, you can now adjust the feet using the Allen key. It is best to do this from outside the booth with the door open, otherwise you will be working against your own body weight. Start with the front left foot (where the door is hinged). Extend this foot slightly.
    4. Test
Check whether the problem has been resolved. If the door is still scraping, turn the front right foot slightly inward. You may also need to readjust the rear feet of the phone booth.

If the problem could not be resolved by readjusting the floor plate, the door can also be realigned using the internal fittings.
