Please select the type of feet your booth has

Our phone booths SOLO have changed slightly over the years. That’s why the solutions for this issue vary depending on the generation.
Please choose the feet of your booth, then we’ll show you how to solve the issue.

Help for your phone booth SOLO - Option 1

The door of your phone booth SOLO closes with magnets. These are extremely durable and do not lose strength. If the door no longer closes properly or does not stay closed, this is usually due to one of the following causes:

    1. The seal at the top of the booth prevents the door from closing correctly.
    2. The booth is tilted slightly forward. In this case, the magnets are not strong enough to keep the door closed.

We recommend checking the seal first. The material can stretch over time and take up more space than it did at the beginning. Too much material can prevent the door from closing correctly. Follow the steps below or watch this video:

    1. Remove the seal
Simply pull off the entire seal from right to left. This is very easy.
    2. Stretch the seal
Pull both ends of the seal with some force to stretch it slightly.
    3. Reattach the seal
Now reattach the seal. Make sure to keep it under tension while doing so. The seal must fit exactly to avoid wrinkles.
    4. Trim the seal
Cut off any excess length and make sure the seal is firmly pressed into place.

Does the door stay closed? Wonderful.

Does the door still open? Then your phone booth may be tilted slightly forward. To fix this, the front feet, meaning the feet on the door side, need to be raised slightly.

To readjust the feet — and stop the door from opening — please follow these steps:

    1. Remove weight from the front feet
Tilt the phone booth backwards from the door side and place something underneath it so the feet on the door side are lifted off the floor. Lifting cushions can be a very helpful tool for this — here is an example.
    2. Extend the feet
Turn both front feet out slightly. Make sure the booth does not become uneven. A spirit level can be very helpful here.
    3. Test
Keep checking whether the problem has already been resolved. If the door still opens, you can extend the feet further.

Were you able to solve the problem? Great.

Help for your phone booth SOLO - Option 3

The door of your phone booth SOLO closes with magnets. These are extremely durable and do not lose strength. So if the door no longer closes properly or does not stay closed, this is usually not caused by the magnets, but by one of the following causes:

To readjust the feet — and stop the door from opening — please follow these steps:

    1. Prepare the tool
You will need a 4 mm Allen key and possibly a flat tool such as a knife.
    2. Remove the cover caps
When standing inside the phone booth, you will see several grey cover caps. Remove these, possibly using a knife or another flat tool, to access the booth feet through the floor plate.
    3. Adjust the feet
Through the holes in the floor plate, you can now use the Allen key to slightly extend the feet on the door side. It is best to do this from outside the booth with the door open, otherwise you will be working against your own body weight.
    4. Test
Keep checking whether the problem has been resolved. If the door still opens, you can extend the feet further.
