We're sorry to hear that you're not fully satisfied with the sound insulation of your QUATTRO. In many cases, the cause can be identified and resolved quite easily.

First, it's important to understand that the QUATTRO is not completely soundproof. It is designed to create a quieter and more private space for meetings and conversations in open office environments. In this capacity it is designed to reduce noise significantly, but not eliminate it entirely. Sounds from outside the booth may still be audible, and voices from inside the booth can still be heard from the outside, although at a much lower volume.

If you feel the above insulation is not working properly, please check the following:

    1. Check the door and latch

One of the most common reasons for reduced sound insulation is a door that is not closing properly. Even a small gap between the glass door and the rubber seal can allow significantly more sound to pass in or out of the booth.

Please start by checking whether the glass door makes full contact with the rubber seal all the way around when the door is closed.

If the door is not closing properly or does not sit firmly against the seal, the latch may need to be adjusted. You can find detailed instructions in this article: Adjusting the door latch

    2. Speak towards the acoustic wall

For the best acoustic performance, we recommend speaking towards the sound-absorbing wall panels rather than directly towards the glass door.

The felt surfaces inside the booth absorb sound and help reduce noise transmission. Hard surfaces such as glass reflect sound more strongly, which can make voices seem louder both inside and outside the booth.

    3. Consider the surrounding environment

The environment around the booth also affects how the sound insulation is perceived.

In very quiet offices, outside conversations and noises may seem more noticeable because there is little background noise. The booth reduces these sounds significantly, but it does not block them completely.

The same applies in reverse. If the QUATTRO is placed in a small or very quiet office, colleagues are more likely to notice when someone is speaking inside the booth. Voices will be reduced in volume, but depending on the room size, speaking volume, and booth placement, they may still be audible.
